Python Developer - New Web3 Hedge Fund

1. Who we are?
We are building a new crypto hedge fund. We have already live trading strategies with a functioning back-end we built from scratch.
You would be working alongside London-based hedge fund managers and under the supervision of a senior Python developer.
2. What are we offering?
We are aiming to recruit a hard-working Python developer who is open to a full-time offer at a later stage. We are willing to increase substantially the salary later on with a potential bonus/equity that could multiply the base salary if the person and the strategies performs well. This means we could aim to multiply what you would be earning at the beginning.
3. What are we looking for?
A Python developer who has experience working with Pandas and Numpy ideally. You will be assisting across different back-end tasks, as well as interacting with APIs from different exchanges. You will also manage a significant amount of data.
I need a skilled Python developer who can help me in two main areas: Data analysis and automation scripting. Both of these tasks will be executed using APIs as the primary data source. Here's how I envision the process:
- Analyzing API Data: Deep dive into our API (Rest API / websockets) data, crunching numbers and making sense of the data patterns.
- Automation Scripting: Develop automation scripts to mine and process data effectively in a timely manner.
While I have no particular preference for additional programming languages or frameworks to be used with Python for this project, being able to understand and interpret API data efficiently is crucial.
Ideal Skills:
- Proficient in Python.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Solid track record in automation scripting.
- Familiarity with API integrations.
Good-to-have (though not required): Data science / AI experience, and some basic knowledge of finance/trading.
