Python Web App with Payments
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need a secure, reliable web application built from the ground up with payment processing at its core. A Python-based stack is preferred—Django, Flask, or FastAPI are all acceptable—but I’m open to a C++ service layer if it improves performance for critical workflows.
Key requirements
• End-to-end payment gateway integration (Stripe, PayPal, or a comparable API) with tokenization, refund handling, and webhook support.
• User-friendly front-end that guides customers through checkout and clearly displays transaction status.
• REST-style API endpoints so the payment module can be reused by other services.
• Solid error handling and logging; all sensitive data must be encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Setup scripts or Docker files that let me launch the project locally and deploy to a cloud host with minimal steps.
• Brief but clear documentation covering environment variables, build commands, and how to add new payment providers.
Nice to have
• Basic user authentication scaffolded in, ready to expand.
• Unit tests for the payment workflow.
I value clean, commented code and prompt communication. If you have previous examples of payment-enabled web apps, include a link or repo snapshot so I can gauge fit.
