Python Utility Tool MacOS Port (Compatibility)
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need my Windows utility tool application, developed in Python, to be converted and made compatible with MacOS. The app currently uses Inno Setup to create a Windows installer .exe and works correctly on Windows.
Requirements:
- Convert the existing Windows application to MacOS.
- MacOS version does not need to match the Windows UI exactly, but functionality must be equivalent.
- Determine and address any dependencies or libraries that may need compatibility adjustments for MacOS.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Python and experience with cross-platform application development.
- Familiarity with MacOS application packaging and distribution.
- Experience with Inno Setup or similar installer creation tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve compatibility issues.
The Application:
- Fetches football fixtures off a website using an API, then exports the fixture information to Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Google Calendar.
- Tasks can be run on demand or scheduled to execute/export daily.
- Scheduled tasks run daily at a specified time to fetch the fixtures using the API, compare it with existing fixture information in Excel, Google Sheets and/or Google Calendar, and update the fixtures if changes are identified.
