Python Proof-of-Concept for BOM Extraction

I'm in need of a Python developer to develop a proof-of-concept project that calculates and tabulates construction materials for data-center ceiling and Hot Aisle Containment (HAC) construction projects. This will involve using OpenAI to analyze provided HAC and construction plan images, with the goal of accurately identifying and quantifying materials to produce a Bill of Materials (BOM).

Key Aspects of the Project:
- Input: The images will be in PDF/JPEG/PNG format.
- Output: The deliverable BOM should be an JSON containing name of material, its SKU, quanity and projected costing
- Focus: Primarily identifying electrical and civil materials.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Proficient in Python, with prior experience in developing similar projects.
- Familiarity with OpenAI and its application in material identification.
- Experience with creating Excel spreadsheets programmatically.

The final deliverable will just be the Python code, with no user interface required. Successful completion of this project may lead to a larger project involving user interface development and code refactoring.
