Python Image Preprocessing for OCR
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a Python script that preprocesses images of identification cards so that Tesseract OCR can read and extract from it effectively.
The script should perform the following preprocessing tasks:
- Noise reduction: The images may contain noise that can hinder OCR accuracy.
- Resizing and cropping: The images need to be resized and cropped to a standard size for consistent OCR performance.
- Contrast and brightness adjustment: Some images may be too dark or too bright, which can affect OCR performance.
Ideal candidates for this project should have:
- Extensive experience with Python and image processing libraries like OpenCV or PIL.
- Familiarity with OCR tools, particularly Tesseract.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
