Python and Image and Giphy

I am looking for a simple script that can add a QR Image to an Existing .png or .gif file

So my designers create the graphics and I am creating custom QR codes -

I'd like to add the custom QR code to a certain area of the

- image OR
- gif

that my graphic designers create

Can you help?
