Python + Earth Engine Landsat 8 Vegetation Analysis
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm seeking a skilled individual experienced in both Python and Raterio, and potentially Google Earth Engine, to complete a proof of concept for analyzing Landsat 8 images. The main task involves accurately quantifying the number of trees in a selected region of interest.
The project specifics include:
• Analyzing Landsat 8 images for vegetation analysis
• Focus on quantifying vegetation cover rather than determining species type or health conditions
• Make use of Python with Raterio and possibly Google Earth Engine for the analysis
As the ideal candidate, you should have:
• Proven Python programming skills
• Experience with Raterio and, preferably, Google Earth Engine
• Background in image-based vegetative or environmental analysis
• Familiarity with Landsat 8 data representation or the ability to quickly get up to speed with it
This exciting project is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about the intersection of coding and environmental analysis. Looking forward to working together!
