Python Django eMail notifications troubleshooting

My Django application has encountered an issue with email notifications. I'm not certain what the root cause is, and I need an experienced Django/Python developer to diagnose and fix the problem. The ideal freelancer for this project should have deep knowledge of Django's email handling capabilities and Python scripting.
Our current website is running Python: 3.6.10 and Django: 1.8.
