Python/Django Backend Development
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Hi all!
We're a FinTech startup based in Poland and currently looking for multiple proficient and reliable backend developers, specialised in Python and Django. It would be mandatory that you have sufficient capacities over the next 3-6 months, i.e. at least 6-8 hours per day. Not required but nice to have is the option, if you can work partly during working hours in our timezone (GMT-0).
We would love to work with you on the following tasks:
- Building a large scale web application, utilising Python & Django
- Working with REST APIs
- Develop components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
- Collaborate with external developers, management of resources, incorporate new code repositories
- Integrate user-interface elements into applications services
- Test and debug software issues and finding root causes of faults and errors
- Improve functionality of existing systems
- Implement security and data protection solutions
- Write up and review design documentation and other associated technical documentations including development guides, release notes, etc
Ideally, your skills matching with the list below:
- Highly proficient in Python & Django
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JS
- Proficiency with database and caching technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis)
- Experience with modern web frontend frameworks and tools
- Experience with building and maintaining REST APIs and public-facing APIs
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Experience working on Heroku or any other cloud platform ecosystem
- Strong sense of ownership and focus on long-term usability and extensibility
- Familiarity with Linux, Shell Scripting, and basic networking.
- Fluent in English
