Python Backend Engineer - OnTheSnow.com

Job Description:
As a backend engineer, your main responsibility will be to take charge of developing and managing python transformation scripts. These scripts will retrieve data from different sources, perform necessary transformations, massage and clean the data, and finally store it in our local data models. The scope of these scripts encompasses tasks such as retrieving weather data from REST APIs across numerous coordinates and manipulating and optimizing S3 images stored locally.
Requirements
- Proficient in python and experience with common data libraries (e.g. pandas)
- Experience with REST API integrations for 3rd party and custom APIs
- Knowledge of modern relational database models
- Knowledge of serverless architecture, task automation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, and RDS
