Processing and creating GIS data using python

We are a startup looking to integrate some GIS functionality into our SaaS product. It is an ongoing project, so tasks will be assigned based on what is currently required. An example of a task could be to extract a small portion of GIS data from a WMS/WFS server and create a API that can serve this GIS data to a frontend which will display this data on a map.
