Powershell Scripting
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
1- Windows 10 has built-in Ransomware Protection but it is disabled by default. We can manually enable it through MMC\ Group Policy Editor but we are looking for a way to script it for all of our clients.
We have a scripting need and I'm wondering if your team can help us with it. We have a tool that we call Soltrain that is powered by Datto RMM. Soltrain allows us to run scripts using multiple scripting languages (Python, Powershell, Batch, etc.). So our aim is to have your team make us a couple of scripts that we can then roll out through soltrain.
We would like a script that not only enabled the Ransomware Protection but also adds the network folders.
And we want it whitelist the following applications:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\LexisNexis\Time Matters\tmwe.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 20.0\QBW32.EXE
2- We want to find a way to block all applications from running and then whitelist a set of applications. Our aim is to basically use the same list of 12 programs (or whatever) for all of our client sites and then we will add more over time.
We basically want to whitelist all of the standard programs and then be able to add more later.
We want to whitelist programs like:
Chrome
VLC
Office Suite
Word
Excel
Outlook
etc.
Adobe Suite
Reader
Acrobat
Photoshop
etc.
Quickbooks
etc.
We need to be able to use PowerShell to script the local MMC through group policy. Once we can do it through scripting for 1 PC, we can roll it out to all of our other PCs we managed through Datto RMM.
