I am looking for a data scientist for a project involving the analysis of CSV files according to specific criteria related to poker strategy. The initial task is to develop a program (technology stack is flexible, not limited to Python) that can:
Analyze CSV files containing poker hand data and extract value/bluff thresholds and other strategic metrics based on given criteria.
Automatically categorize hands and generate simplified strategy outputs for different hand categories.
Identify key blockers (cards that most affect the range).
Work with additional CSVs containing opponent fold/call/raise ranges and incorporate this data into the analysis.
A crucial skill for this project is the ability to work with .mkr files, including converting .mkr files into CSV format for further analysis.
Requirements:
Experience with data analysis and CSV processing (any language).
Ability to handle and convert .mkr files.
Experience with combinatorial game theory calculations.
Ability to translate poker concepts into mathematical models.
Knowledge of poker rules is a plus.
