Parsing tool for credit card bill -- 3
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm seeking a developer to create a parsing tool for my bank's credit card statements which are in PDF format. The main objective of this tool is to accurately extract transaction details. This will require the ability to detect, interpret, and save the relevant information. It sounds easy enough but it can get tricky parsing through the varying formats.
Challenges:
1. Paging is not consistent. Some bills have 1 page dedicated to an ad while others compress all the info in one page.
2. Some transactions contain an extra row for its foreign currency equivalent.
3. Some transactions are negative (refunds).
4. Some transactions are separate and put under the Installments section.
