Old homemade DOS program (.exe) needed in a newer more accessible format

I have a homemade scientific program made in DOS (.exe). The program has a lot of useless functions in it, that will not need to be transposed to the newer version. I am open to any new format (e.g. matlab, python, R...) although having the possibility to have the new format program embedded into a webpage would be great. The program was from my old supervisor, and I am using it still using DOSBOX, but the program is super awkward, crashes frequently and is not able to save the data anymore.
