Odoo: api calls outside odoo but use information of odoo

So we already have developed code for api calls with another system. But to long time that the code needs to pull information it will over limits of odoo config. Due to other reasons we raise those limits.

So we looking for a way to run code outside odoo but still having pull info from odoo and towards odoo without changing our existing odoo to much.
