Odoo Connector Development for Otto & eBay
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
Project Brief: Odoo Connector for Otto & eBay
Project Duration: Approximately 2–3 weeks
Project Type: Desktop Application (Modular System)
Primary Platform: Windows
1. Project Overview
The aim of this project is to develop a modular desktop application that facilitates automated, bidirectional synchronization between the Odoo ERP system and the marketplaces Otto and eBay.
The application must be architected with scalability in mind, enabling the seamless integration of additional marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Kaufland) in the future with minimal effort.
2. Technical Specifications
Language & Framework: C# with .NET Core
Architecture: Modular and extensible
Authentication: API keys or OAuth2 (depending on marketplace requirements)
Communication Protocol: REST APIs
Data Storage: PostgreSQL (local program data)
Data Format: JSON
Target OS: Windows (including background services via Windows Services)
3. Functional Scope
3.1 Product Synchronization
Export products from Odoo to Otto and eBay.
Leverage relevant API fields for each marketplace.
Match products using SKU-based identifiers.
Synchronize:
Product title
Description
Price
Stock levels
Images
Marketplace-specific attributes
Manage custom fields for individual marketplaces within the application.
3.2 Order Synchronization
Import orders from Otto and eBay into Odoo.
Update order statuses (e.g., shipped, canceled).
Automatically generate invoices in Odoo upon order import.
3.3 Inventory Synchronization
Real-time or scheduled sync between Odoo and connected marketplaces.
Handle edge cases such as:
Partial deliveries
Cancellations
Out-of-stock responses from marketplaces
3.4 Product Master Data Management
Centralized dashboard for product data management.
CSV import functionality for bulk product uploads.
Support for marketplace-specific custom fields.
3.5 Modular Architecture
Decoupled design with clear separation of concerns between:
Business logic
Marketplace integrations
Each marketplace integration should function as a self-contained module or plugin.
3.6 Background Services
Background synchronization tasks must run as Windows Services.
Services should auto-start with the system and provide logging for task execution and failures.
4. Freelancer Responsibilities
Implement all features using official Otto and eBay API documentation.
Ensure clean, well-structured, and well-documented code.
Integrate comprehensive error handling and system logging.
Deliver full source code and technical documentation upon completion.
Develop a robust, modular core that simplifies future enhancements and integrations.
