Imagine a helpful chat buddy that remembers things about you — your favorite color, food, or past questions — and brings those memories into future conversations. That’s **NexTalk**: a small web app I’ve built that talks like a smart assistant, keeps short-term chat history, and stores simple long-term memories.

## The story so far
I built a working prototype:
- A web chat interface you can use in your browser.
- A server that stores short chat history so the assistant can “remember” what was just said.
- A place to save longer memories (like “my favorite food is pineapple”).
- The chat replies are generated by a plug-in system — it can use a real AI service if we provide a key, or a built-in safe fallback for testing.
It works on my laptop and in test deployments, but it needs a little work to be clean, reliable, and ready for others.

1. **Polish the app so it’s reliable**
- Fix small bugs and make sure the chat works every time.
- Make the “remembering” parts behave nicely (save, list, and use what the user told the assistant).

- Improve the chat interface so it looks good on phones and desktop.
- Smooth out animations (assistant “typing” effect), and add friendly messages for errors.
3. **Put it online**
- Build and publish the app so anyone can visit the URL and use it.
- I can provide a free hosting account; you’ll help set it up.
4. **Write short, clear instructions**
- A one-page guide for me to re-deploy the app or update it later.
- Notes on any secrets/keys or steps you used.
