Needed for Orange Pi Zero 2

Job ID: 36750213

Budget: $30 – $90 AUD

The project is seeking a skilled programmer experienced in Python and hardware, specifically with the Orange Pi Zero 2 and Raspberry Pi. The main goal is to develop a code library named "PI4IOE5V96248.h" that will allow the PI4IOE5V96248 GPIO expander to function as a normal part of the Orange Pi Zero 2.

The project deliverables consist of two main components:

PI4IOE5V96248 Code Library (PI4IOE5V96248.h):

Creation of a Python code library that serves as an interface for the PI4IOE5V96248 GPIO expander.
The library should include functions for configuring GPIO pins as either input or output, reading input values, and writing output values.
Compatibility with the Orange Pi Zero 2 and the Armbian operating system (specifically, bullseye 4.9) is required.
GPIO Control and Testing Program:

Development of a Python program that demonstrates the capabilities of the PI4IOE5V96248 GPIO expander.
The program should enable the user to control LEDs connected to the GPIO pins and read input from push buttons.
A command-line interface should be provided, allowing the user to specify which GPIO pins to control or read.
The program should support setting GPIO pins to high or low states, reading input values, and responding accordingly.
Once the project is completed, the requester will test the library and program on their Orange Pi Zero 2. The deliverables should include the source code files, along with any necessary instructions for compiling and executing the code.

Interested candidates are requested to provide their relevant experience, particularly in Python programming and working with hardware such as the Raspberry Pi or Orange Pi Zero 2. Additionally, availability for future projects involving advanced functionalities like UART communication and Modbus protocols should be mentioned.

The requester appreciates the interest shown by potential candidates and looks forward to reviewing proposals and discussing the project further.
