I'm trying to measure surface roughness from an 2.5 D image, with use fractal Dimension Algorithm.
And The data for the microstructural characterization come from a laser scanning microscope.
That means you take measurements of the turbine blade surface for work.
These are then two-dimensional 2.5-D roughness data. These data then have to be processed with various algorithms in order to characterize the surface.
