Modelling Athlete's Optimal Speed (Python)

Job ID: 32809218

Budget: $250 – $750 NZD

I am looking for someone to help replicate an academic paper, and apply it to a dataset using Python.

The primary aim of this project is to write a script in Python, that will replicate a mathematical model on how an athlete should regulate their speed over the course of a race to optimize performance.

The project will require the individual to have knowledge of mechanics, energetics (both aerobic and anaerobic) and motor control, and a understanding of ordinary differential equations on the velocity, the propulsive force and the anaerobic energy, that leads to an optimal control problem that is solved in the academic paper.

The academic paper will provide you with a step by step guide on how to accomplish the projects goals.

If you are interested in this project, please message me and I will send you the academic paper and supply you with the required dataset.
