Migrate small web site, nginx and cron to new vps
Budget: $10 – $25 USD
I am in need of an experienced freelancer to assist in migrating my small Linux-based website to a new server. The task involves moving my Nginx setup, Python Bottle framework, cron jobs, and physical website files. It's important to note that the database will not require migration. This project is time-sensitive but should not present a challenge given its small scale. Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Profound knowledge of Linux OS and its command-line tools.
- Extensive experience with website migration, particularly involving Nginx and Python environments.
- Familiarity with cron jobs and scheduling tasks on a Linux server.
- Proficiency in Python, specifically with the Bottle framework.
- Ability to ensure a seamless transition with minimal to no downtime.
The project's success will be measured by the site's uninterrupted performance and full functionality on the new server. Please provide examples of previous migrations you have successfully completed, especially those similar in scope and technology stack.
Project steps:
1. This is a small job. You will login sftp / ssh on my older VPS Linux Server.
2. You will go to /home/chg
3. You will grab all my site files (my site is very small, under 1 Gig)
4. You will get nginx configs, cron job for my web site because it has scrappers, config for command to fire my python bottle site up
5. Login into new linux server via sftp / ssh and transfer my web site
6. Setup python bottle, nginx and command on new server
7. Make sure my site is running and starts automaticly on server reboots
That is it, then you will be paid out. This is a small project with small budget.
