Looking for Metin2 C++/Python Developer – Must Know the Game as a Player

Job ID: 39798284

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

We are building a permanent Metin2 private server, a world designed to last, not vanish after a few months. Players are tired of investing time, passion, and even money into servers that suddenly close. Our mission is simple: create a stable, lasting environment where progress is never wasted.

If you have ever played Metin2, you already understand why this matters.

HOW:

Stability first: enterprise-level hosting and long-term funding, not a “temporary” hobby project.

PvP-focused: every system, every balance choice is made with competitive combat in mind.

Constant evolution: frequent updates, fixes, and aesthetic improvements that keep the community engaged.

We are a small, focused team. We are not looking for a generic coder, we need a Metin2 craftsman: someone who knows the game as a player, and knows the code as a developer.

As a Metin2 Developer (Freelance), your tasks will include:

Bug fixing (client/server stability, QoL improvements).

Cosmetic & aesthetic work: implementing new costumes, pets, and mounts.

Supporting PvP-oriented systems, ensuring balance and scalability.

Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

You are (or were) a Metin2 player → deep knowledge of the game is essential.

Proven experience with Metin2 source, Python, and C++ (client & server).

Ability to debug and deliver stable fixes.

Understanding of PvP balance and Metin2’s item systems.

Good communication skills in English (Italian is a plus).

Nice to Have:

Experience with custom systems/events.

Knowledge of anti-cheat and security solutions.

Past work on other Metin2 servers (portfolio or reference).

What We Offer:

Long-term, stable collaboration on a serious project.

Flexible freelance contract, payments via Freelancer.

The chance to shape a lasting Metin2 experience players can trust.

Important: If you’ve never played Metin2 or don’t know its systems inside out, please do not apply. This role is only for developers with real Metin2 experience.
