Linux Server Monitoring & Control Dashboard Development -- 2

Job ID: 39368063

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

Job Title: Developer for Custom Server Monitoring and Control Dashboard (Linux-based)
Description
We are seeking a contractor to build a Linux-based GUI application that interfaces with a set of HPE DL360 servers to:
• Collect data via HWinfo-equivalent tools or direct sensor polling (CPU temp, inlet temp, TDP, fan speed, utilization)
• Set and adjust server fan speeds via iLO or IPMI interfaces
• Launch and stop CPU stress tests via Y-Cruncher or equivalent tool
• Display real-time, averaged performance metrics across multiple servers in a live table and live graph format
The goal is to integrate control and monitoring functionality into a single, intuitive interface that can run on a local laptop or server inside a data center rack. It is preferred if the interface can be accessed remotely via a web address. The system will be part of a public demonstration for data center visitors and potential customers.
Skills Required
• Python (preferred), Bash, or C++ for backend scripting and automation
• GUI frameworks like PyQt, Tkinter, or web-based solutions using React/Electron
• Familiarity with server telemetry tools (e.g., lm-sensors, ipmitool, freeipmi)
• Experience interfacing with HPE iLO or IPMI for out-of-band server management
• Real-time data plotting libraries such as Plotly, Matplotlib, or similar
• (Bonus) Experience in data center environments or with rack-mounted server systems
