Lifesaving Robot Development
Budget: $600 – $700 SGD
I am seeking an experienced robotics professional to help me bring a crucially important concept to life; a special robot designed for detecting and rescuing individuals in perilous water situations(like drowning).
Key tasks for the project are:
1. Building and Programming the Robot:
You will have to create the robot with the capacity to function autonomously, recognizing human forms, detecting distress and then carrying out rescue procedures.
2. Design and Optimization:
Alongside building the robot, your role will also involve the ongoing enhancement of its functionalities, improving efficiency and effectiveness within its target environment - water bodies like pools, lakes, or seas. This kind of consistent optimization will be pivotal to operational success.
Steps to complete the project:
1. Develop an algorithm using OpenCV to detect a drowning person in the swimming pool.
2. Design a robot using ROS-Gazebo to rescue the drowning person, incorporating prismatic joints and a control algorithm for the bucket.
3. Create a ROS-Gazebo simulation of an arena with specified dimensions and the necessary actuators for the rescue robot.
4. Develop a distance calculation algorithm to determine the distance between the origin and the detected drowning person in the pool.
5. Implement the rescue algorithm, including the derivation of the bucket to the destination.
6. Implement the algorithm that control the position and velocity of the actuator with mathematics.
7. Provide the camera calibration algorithm mathematics and results.
8. Develop the control mathematics for the actuators in sliding forms.
9. Deliver a write-up of the abstract, methodology with results explanation, complete mathematical modeling (Kinematics, inverse kinematics, Odometer), flowsheet diagrams, and algorithms for each step involved in the project. Remember that the complete documentation of the project is very important, with each clear steps,
