Lead Developer (Founding Engineer)

We are a VC-backed company at the intersection of AI and health. Our mission is to build a next-generation platform that leverages machine learning to deliver high-performance outcomes for demanding users. We are hiring a Lead Developer to take full ownership of our MVP build and core infrastructure.
This is a founding team role with equity and the opportunity to shape both product and technical strategy from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy our core product and infrastructure
- Lead development of a secure, HIPAA-compliant backend and scalable cloud architecture
- Integrate real-time biometric data from wearable APIs (Apple Health, WHOOP, Oura, Garmin)
-Implement and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) using AWS Bedrock and related tools
- Develop a cross-platform mobile application using React Native
- Collaborate closely with the founding team to iterate rapidly on product features and user feedback
- Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering with full-stack responsibilities
- Expertise in Python and FastAPI for backend development
- Strong experience with the AWS ecosystem: Bedrock, Lambda, EC2, ALB, S3, Glacier, Transcribe
- Proficiency with React Native for mobile app development (iOS and Android)
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs, particularly from health or wearable devices
- Deep understanding of data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA and GDPR
- Working knowledge of AI/ML models and prompt engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a healthtech, neurotech, or performance-oriented product environment
- Experience building and scaling real-time, user-personalized systems
Compensation and Benefits
