## **Overview:**
We receive Konica Minolta printer meter readings through our Office365 email inbox, either as plain text in the email body or as PDF/image attachments. Currently, this data is processed manually for SAP-based billing.
We aim to automate the end-to-end workflow by using AI/OCR to extract readings, format them into a structured format (CSV/JSON/XML), and integrate this data with SAP for downstream billing processing.
We are looking for a freelancer with strong experience in Python, AI/OCR, and enterprise integrations to develop and deploy this automated solution.

## **Scope of Work:**
### 1. Email Monitoring
* Connect to Office365 inbox using Microsoft Graph API or IMAP.
* Monitor a specific mailbox or folder for incoming Konica Minolta meter emails.
* Detect new messages in near real-time (or on a scheduled interval).
### 2. Attachment and Body Parsing
* Identify if meter readings are included in:
* Email body (plain text or HTML).
* Email attachments (PDF, PNG, JPG, etc.).
* Download and parse the content.
### 3. AI/OCR Extraction
* Use OCR tools (e.g., Tesseract, Amazon Textract, Azure Form Recognizer, or other preferred AI services) to extract relevant meter reading data from attachments.
* Handle varying formats and layouts (multiple printer models).
### 4. Data Formatting
* Normalize the extracted readings into a structured format (CSV, JSON, XML, etc.).
* Include metadata like:
* Printer ID
* Date of Reading
* Page Counts (Color/Mono)
* Location or Site Info (if available)
### 5. SAP Billing Integration
* Send the structured data to SAP via:
* API integration (e.g., SAP PI/PO, SAP Gateway, BAPI)
* Intermediate file drop (SFTP, shared drive, etc.)
* Ensure error handling, logging, and traceability for billing.
### 6. Deployment & Maintenance
* Deploy as a standalone Python script, or optionally as an Azure Function or Power Automate flow.
* Provide basic documentation and support for future maintenance.
