Develop a Keyword-Driven medical Report Automation System
Project Overview
I am seeking an experienced developer to build a standalone system (CLI or lightweight web app) for personal use that:
Accepts user-defined keywords (e.g. “CT head”, “intracranial hemorrhage”, “no midline shift”)
Maps those keywords to an AI API call (e.g. OpenAI/GPT or Google Gemini)
Generates a complete, structured radiology report following standard protocols
This tool will streamline my reporting workflow by turning concise findings into polished impressions and structured report sections.
Key Responsibilities
Design a keyword-to-prompt mapping module
Integrate with an AI language model API to generate report text
Implement customizable report templates (e.g., headers for Indication, Technique, Findings, Impression)
Build a simple user interface (CLI, desktop GUI, or minimal web frontend) for input and output
Provide logging, error handling, and API-usage tracking
Required Skills & Experience
Proficiency in Python (or Node.js) and RESTful API integration
Hands-on experience with OpenAI/GPT, Google Gemini, or similar LLM APIs
Familiarity with radiology reporting standards and structured templates
Ability to design clean, maintainable code and clear documentation
Version control (Git) and basic testing practices
Nice to Have
Prior work in healthcare or medical-imaging software
Knowledge of DICOM/HL7 standards
Experience building lightweight GUIs (Tkinter, Electron, React)
Deliverables
Fully functional codebase, with setup instructions
Keyword-to-prompt configuration file or script
Report template files (editable)
README with usage examples, installation steps, and API-key configuration
Basic test suite and troubleshooting guide
Timeline & Budget
Desired completion: 3–4 weeks from project start
