Job Title:
Junior Python Developer – Open Source Cybersecurity SOC Project
Description:
We are a French non-profit organization building a citizen-grade Security Operations Center (SOC) to protect small businesses, associations, and local governments.
The project is called "Bouclier National", and it aims to be the most intuitive and secure open-source SOC in Europe.
We are looking for a junior Python developer (freelancer or part-time) to help us with:
Responsibilities:
Write or improve Python scripts (FastAPI or Flask-based)
Help connect security tools (Wazuh, Suricata, TheHive, Elasticsearch, Vault)
Automate deployments (Docker, Bash, Linux)
Maintain APIs for agents, logs, and license verification
Work with a small team on GitHub (clean commits, proper structure)
Requirements:
Basic experience with Python (Flask or FastAPI)
Some knowledge of Linux and Docker
Familiar with Git and GitHub
Able to follow security best practices
Willing to learn and contribute to an open-source project
Nice to Have (Optional):
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (Wazuh, TheHive, etc.)
Understanding of APIs, tokens, license systems
Experience with React or HTML frontend (bonus)
Salary:
