Industrial Part Numbers Cross-Reference
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I was working with a friend who was helping me to build a program which can do a cross reference of large amount of data of industrial part numbers.
The final result should be an excel file, which contains the analyzed data (merged master data) and another excel file which holds found cross references from the merged master data.
Unfortunately, for personal reason he could not finish it.
The job is to look into what was completed by my friend and finish it as its needed.
He added comments to the code where needed and we wrote a readme file, which has some more detailed information.
At this moment the merge of the files is working but it is slow, and it is missing a few features. The task would be to implement the missing features and to make it run faster.
The second step is to fix a bug that is occurring in the cross-reference function.
In order to make it easier for the program when we started with this project, we decided that it would analyze the data on a pre organized format. (the format can be found on the attachments)
The script is written in python and if possible, I would prefer it to be finished in python.
In the attachments you will find the code, more detailed information and example datasets and also cross reference table, which will show you the final result.
