IPUMS Census Data Excel Sheet

I need an expert who already feels at home inside the IPUMS extract system to pull the exact census micro-data my project requires. I have shortlisted the variables and samples but want the extract built correctly the first time—complete with all the documentation and syntax files so I can reproduce or tweak it later in Python.

Here’s what I expect:

• Create the extract request in IPUMS (USA or International, depending on which proves most appropriate once we look at variable availability).
• Apply the proper filters, weight selections, and attach geographic identifiers at the finest level the data allow.
• Download and deliver the final data files plus the automatically generated .do/.R scripts and codebooks.
• Walk me through any limits or disclosure rules that affect the extract so there are no surprises when I begin analysis.

I’m leaning toward a national scope but may drill down to states or metro areas once we review feasibility, so flexibility is important.
