Help solve a small GeoSpark (Apache Sedona) issue (one-off)

Our organization has a couple of projects planning to shift from ArcPy to GeoSpark (Sedona). As a participant and the beginner of Sedona, I tried playing Sedona on Jupyter-Lab to read the geometry from shapefile into GeometryRDD, however, I found the read-in shape file shows no features (count == 0), it just shows the schema, but I am very sure that our shapefile has features inside. I have tried many ways and look around the forum, resulted in nothing.

This is one-off work which help me solve this question with $40USD, if you know the answer this shouldn't take so much of your time.
