Help me locate cracker insulators and rusted bolts in Transmisison Towers - Python, OpenCV, Image Processing

Hi Freelancers,

You must have experience in Image Processing , OPENCV. Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms would be an advantage.

Inputs: I have over 60,000 images of transmission towers. Two sample images attached in the folder structure. The root directory has folder each of which is the tag of a transmisison tower. Each folder will sub-subfolder, that represents images of the same tower from a different angle. I have multiple images of the same transmission tower at different sub-sub-folder.

Please write me a python script (Jupyter Notebook preferred) to do the following:
- Iterate through the folder structure.
- Open each image, identify all insulators.
- Add a green rectangle to each insulator that is healthy., a red rectangle to each insulator that shows signs of defect (feel free to chose other colours)
- Add a Red dot to a rusted bolt and a green dot to a healthy bolt.
- Save the image as a new image.
- Fill in the excel sheet with the relavant information.

A Insulator is a bunch of ceramic disks that holds the electric cables to the transmisison tower. A defective insulator will have a missing ceramic/cracked ceramic plate. I will provide images of such later.

As long as you can pick up 90% of the bolts, i will consider it accurate enough.

I am reasonably proficient with Python, so you dont need to make an GUI. Codes shall be clearly documented so that i can modify it later.
