PROJECT: Marketplace Listing Monitoring Tool + Website + Telegram Integration
Overview
I want to build a system that monitors new product listings from a second-hand online marketplace and identifies potential deals based on certain filters. The system should store the listing data, display deals on a website, and send alerts to a Telegram group.
Main Features
1. Listing Monitoring System
* The system should monitor newly posted listings from a second-hand marketplace.
* It should collect publicly available data such as: title, price, brand, images, condition, and listing URL.
* The system should check for new listings regularly (for example every 30–60 seconds).
1. Deal Filtering
* The system should filter listings based on rules such as:
* specific brands (for example Nike, Adidas, etc.)
* price range
* item condition
* Listings that meet these criteria should be marked as “deals”.
1. Database
* Save deals in a database with fields such as:
* title
* price
* brand
* image
* listing URL
* timestamp
1. Telegram Integration
* When a deal is found, automatically post it to a Telegram group using a bot.
* The message should include:
* item image
* title
* price
* link to the listing.
1. Website
* Build a simple website that displays the deals stored in the database.
* The homepage should show the newest deals first.
* Each deal should include image, title, price, and a link to the listing.
Technical Preferences
* Preferred language: Python
* Code should be clean and documented.
* The system should run reliably on a VPS server.
