Hackathon Expert & Developer for MVP Creation -- 2

Job ID: 39769501

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

We’re a student team preparing for a national-level innovation challenge and looking for support from someone who has experience winning or excelling in hackathons.

We need help with both:

Development — building a working MVP (not just a prototype) that integrates data processing, digitization, and a simple web-GIS/dashboard.

Mentorship — guiding us strategically on how to structure the project for maximum impact in a competitive setting (e.g., feature prioritization, data sourcing, presentation polishing).

What you’ll do:

Help us design & implement a lean MVP (front-end + back-end, with sample/synthetic datasets where required).

Share best practices from your hackathon experience (how to impress judges, what to showcase, etc.).

Provide technical + strategic mentorship over 1–2 weeks as we iterate.

Ideal Profile:

Past experience winning or reaching finals in major hackathons.

Strong skills in one or more of: Python, GIS/web mapping, OCR/NLP for digitization, data visualization, dashboard development.

Comfortable guiding a student team and helping us avoid common pitfalls.

Important: Please share a link to your LinkedIn profile, Devpost, or any official proof of your hackathon achievements along with your proposal. Applications without this will not be considered.

Deliverables:

A functional MVP demonstrating digitization and decision-support workflows.

Advice on data sourcing and synthetic dataset creation.

Guidance on how to position the project for maximum clarity and impact.

Engagement:

Short-term (1–2 weeks).

Remote collaboration (we’re flexible with time zones).

Why work with us?

We’re highly motivated, fast-learning, and eager to push this project beyond a proof of concept. We need your experience to accelerate development and make our MVP competition-ready.

Skills Required:

Hackathon project experience (mandatory)

Full-stack or backend development (Python/Node preferred)

GIS / mapping libraries (Leaflet, Mapbox, QGIS, GeoPandas)

OCR/NLP basics (Tesseract, spaCy, Hugging Face, etc.)

Strong mentorship/teaching ability
