Greenhouse — Packet Tracer -- 2
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
The Packet Tracer file already contains every device. What remains is to verify four core functions and make sure an e-mail alert is sent whenever a value leaves its safe range.
RFID door lock
– Tapping the RFID card once unlocks (opens) the door.
– Tapping the same card again locks (closes) the door.
– Each change of state (OPEN or CLOSE) must generate an e-mail alert.
Temperature sensor → Fan
Normal range 20–30 °C.
• Above 30 °C → fan ON + alert.
• Below 20 °C → fan OFF + alert.
Water-level sensor → Pump
Normal range 20–80 %.
• Below 20 % → pump ON + alert.
• Above 80 % → pump OFF + alert.
Light sensor (day/night) → LED lamp
Schedule: lamp ON 18:00–06:00, OFF 06:00–18:00.
Any mismatch (lamp OFF at night or ON by day) triggers an alert.
Testing (≈ 1-minute screen recording)
– Raise temperature > 30 °C, then drop it < 20 °C; confirm fan action and two alerts.
– Lower water < 20 %, then simulate > 80 %; confirm pump action and two alerts.
– Toggle light sensor between day and night; verify lamp behaviour and alerts.
– Tap the RFID card once (door opens) and tap again (door closes); verify both e-mail alerts.
All debugging and adjustments must be done strictly inside Cisco Packet Tracer 8.2.2.
