As part of our ongoing projects, we want to enhance our geolocation data so it can be mapped seamlessly onto financial datasets. This involves refining and cleaning large geospatial data sets, ensuring accuracy, and implementing best practices for data visualization.
What We Need
Data Cleaning & Processing: Review and refine existing geolocation datasets to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Geospatial Expertise: Use relevant tools (GeoPandas, QGIS, PostGIS, etc.) to organize, visualize, and optimize location-based data.
Integration with Financial Data: Align geolocation information with our financial/crypto datasets, enabling more reliable analytics and mapping.
Automation & Scalability: Implement scripts (Python preferred) to automate data workflows and create repeatable processes for handling updates.
Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with our team to share progress, document findings, and suggest improvements for ongoing data management.
Key Requirements
Proven Experience with Geospatial Tools: Familiarity with one or more GIS frameworks (GeoPandas, Shapely, QGIS, etc.) is essential.
Strong Python Skills: Comfort with Python for data processing, automation, and troubleshooting.
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot anomalies and inconsistencies in large datasets and resolve them efficiently.
Data Visualization Experience (Nice to Have): Know-how to create clear, insightful maps and visual representations of location-based data.
Effective Communication: You’ll be collaborating with a remote team, so timely updates and clear communication are a must.

Cleaned & Optimized Geolocation Dataset: Verified for accuracy and properly formatted for integration with financial data.
Documentation & Scripts: Clearly commented Python scripts (or equivalent) for data cleaning, transformation, and validation.
