Responsabilities
Work as an integral member of our agile software development team
Design, develop and maintain product features
Detect, report, investigate, and fix defects in test and in production
Write efficient code and participate in code reviews
Maintaining software documentation
Tool and technology assessment and selection
Create API end points as we develop plans to integrate with third party software applications
Qualifications:
Demonstrated programming experience with Python 3, HTML, CSS, SCSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JSON, and React
Strong dev tool skills including: node, npm, yarn, git, docker, and unit testing frameworks
Experience with backend frameworks such as Express and Pyramid
Experience developing RESTful APIs for 3rd party integration
Previous experience and knowledge of best practices for software security would be a definite asset
Knowledge of relational database development and best-practices, preferably using PostgresSQL
Experience with Blackberry Spark Communication Services SDK is a definite asset
Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
Strong experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues
Understanding of responsive design concepts and AODA (Web accessibility) compliance
Experience working within a fast-paced agile team environment
Ability to make technical decisions related to design, programming and development best practices
Keen eye for aesthetic design and creativity with proper execution
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in fast paced environment
Motivated, self-starter with a passion and demonstrated capability for problem-solving
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts
