Full Stack Developer - React JS, Python, Django, AWS
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I've had quite a large project underway for the past year now. It's basically an HR tech product that is a CRM, video interview software, and some other parts. That's essentially what it is. The team I hired was meant to be finished in six months, and we're not well over one year into it, and so many things are just not working. I'm doing all the UAT, and I'm just suspicious that some of this is just beyond the team that is doing it. Every time I get the go-ahead to test, new problems pop up that weren't there before, like, for example:
Users have two options to invite colleagues. One is using a link they can copy and the other is by adding users' email addresses. That used to work. Now it doesn't. The invited user with the link can't complete their registration, and the users invited by adding email addresses are being half registered on the system, but they're not receiving the email addresses. Another example, we use Sovren to parse CV data - just simple stuff like auto-populating name information when adding a CV. It's just not working. When I bring it up, they say they can't replicate the fault on their end. Not much use to my customers.
I don't know. It may just be the case that it's a hard project, but I can't tell as I'm just the UI/UX designer. It is 90% done, but my concern is the code may be a mess, and under the hood, it's just not going to be scalable and will be susceptible to problems moving forward. There's a bunch of other technologies like Twillio and others that I can share with you, but of course, if you're a full-stack developer that knows the tech in the title, then these API "plugin" products will not be hard for you.
I'm still not sure what's required here, but I do believe they need help; otherwise, it will never be finished. Perhaps the first stage is for you to do a full code review, and I suspect that may give you a feel for how well this is put together. Then perhaps once you've had a chance to do that, I can share a breakdown of what still isn't working, and maybe you can help? At this stage, I'm not sure what the scope of this project is, so let's start by assuming it will be a full code review (based in Github).
You'll need to be an expert on this - not someone that's learning as they go with Youtube, with all due respect. This is a full-scale piece of software with lots of moving parts. There's no point in you even looking at this if you're not fully conversant with the languages in the title, and I write that with the utmost respect to those of you who are in the process of learning.
