Front-end GUI development for high-speed trading using web sockets

The target is to create a GUI tool to facilitate manual trading activities on different exchanges across the globe and with a pre-defined set of instruments. The dynamic data is mostly centered around the order book. The total amount of streaming order book data can be large, so it must be processed efficiently with latencies smaller than several hundreds milliseconds. User interaction shall be based on the rule of minimal user actions. Intuitive use of colors shall be used to highlight important events, reduce the likelihood of user errors, and represent information as simple as possible. We provide a private websockets interface to employ a unified protocol towards exchanges. The code base is preferably centered around Python.
