Freelancer Needed – Covert Channel Detection Experimentation (Python & Network Security)

We are looking for a skilled freelancer to help reproduce and extend the experiments from a recent research paper on detecting covert storage channels using IPFIX flow data and Bayesian decision-making.

Tasks include:
• Simulating benign and malicious network traffic (TTL, IP ID, TCP flag manipulation).
• Implementing a Python-based pipeline: feature extraction, scoring, Bayesian decision logic.
• Running experiments and comparing with static threshold-based baselines.
• Producing results (TPR, FPR, decision cost) and basic documentation.

Requirements:
• Strong experience with Python (scikit-learn, pandas, etc.).
• Good understanding of network protocols and traffic analysis.
• Familiarity with IPFIX or NetFlow.
• Bonus: Knowledge of anomaly detection, Bayesian models, or cybersecurity.

Deliverables:
• Reproducible Python code and scripts.
• Test data or traffic generation setup.
• Short technical report of results.
