Freelance Support Engineer for API Integration and Troubleshooting

Job Description:
We are seeking a proficient Support Engineer to assist with a series of tasks involving API integration, debugging, and customer support. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Python, JSON, and building REST APIs, and will be able to replicate user steps to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
**Tasks:**
1. **JQ Pattern Extraction:**
- Extract specific information from a given K8s deployment object and Jira API issue response using JQ patterns.
2. **SSO Integration:**
- Provide comprehensive information on SSO providers and assist with configuring SSO using Okta.
3. **Port and Jira Integration:**
- Create an organization, install necessary apps, create Jira accounts and projects, and deploy integrations.
- Update data models and map components to repositories.
4. **Self-Service Action Troubleshooting:**
- Troubleshoot issues related to self-service actions triggering GitHub workflows.
5. **Scorecard Creation:**
- Create properties and scorecards to track repository metrics based on the number of open PRs.
6. **General Support and Debugging:**
- Assist with various support queries and debug issues encountered by customers.
**Requirements:**
- Proficiency in Python, JSON, and building REST APIs.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm for deploying integrations.
- Familiarity with JQ for transforming API responses.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Jira and GitHub integrations is a plus.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with developer portals, documentation, and REST API references.
- Familiarity with Ocean documentation and Jira integration.
- Ability to join and participate in open community forums.
