Food volume estimation

I have custom dataset with annotation. Just a single item. I want detect the food, mask it and estimate the volume of the masked area which is a irregular polygon. I tried mask-rcnn for food detection and got good results with masking. I want to compute volume of food from this mask. My idea is apply this mask on depth image, and then compute volume. If you can implement this or any other method to calculate volume is also ok.
