Fix Python bug in virtual assistant Code

Job ID: 38776400

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

My Python code, is like an assistant (Alexa or Google home) which handles speech recognition, is suffering from performance issues. Specifically, the microphone continues to listen when audio is playing, but the code is synchronous so it doesn’t make sense. The code is behaving like it’s asynchronous, when it’s not.

This is running in a raspberry Pi. I’m not giving credentials. Google cloud and grok can have free api keys if you want to test it.

Already tried using flags, and buffer for the audio playing. Also checked the threads, and there’s only one running.

The code: https://github.com/maskboss4/test/blob/main/assistant

If you read the whole description, checked the code and are 100% sure you can fix this, end your bid message with, “I can fix it”.

I need an experienced Python developer who can:
- Identify and fix the issue in the code

Ideal candidates should have a strong background in Python, specifically with audio processing and speech recognition libraries. Please only apply if you have the skills and experience to deliver a high-quality solution.
