Finance Workflow Automation Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for an experienced engineer or technical freelancer to help us automate key aspects of our finance and accounting workflows. This is not a financial role — it requires systems thinking, process mapping, and technical implementation skills.
In our company, financial and accounting data originates from many sources — including email threads, WhatsApp groups, Excel sheets, our accounting software, and an ERP system. The data is often fragmented and manually entered or transferred, which slows down processes and increases the risk of error.
We want to:
• Identify the optimal point of data capture across sources.
• Map how data travels from origin to reporting.
• Design a logical data pipeline or automation layer that can transform this flow into structured, real-time reporting.
The primary goals are to automate the preparation of:
• P&L / profitability reports (based on net P&L logic)
• Cashflow statements and forecasts
In addition, we want to review our accounting function for automation opportunities. There’s currently a high level of manual entry, and we estimate at least 50% of it can be automated. The selected person will work with our finance team, operations, and sales staff to understand how data is generated and consumed across departments.
This project is an excellent opportunity — if done successfully, we believe this solution could be offered to many other similar companies.

• Has experience with data workflow design
• Is comfortable working across departments to understand operational logic
• Can build scalable automation flows (using tools like Python, APIs, Airtable, Zapier, or others)
• Is not necessarily a finance person, but thinks like a systems engineer
