Finance Program
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
An opportunity has arisen in our company for an experienced Python Developer to commence development of the Finance Program. We have pipeline of work in our backlog that we plan to finish in several phases.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is (mid-senior) with solid development experience in Python and Web Application.
Phase 1:
- Retrieve and store PDFs for each parameter passed in via command
- Unlock pdf and extract data in csv
- Parse PDF for search terms and extract relevant text data fields (first field)
- Parse PDF for search terms and extract relevant numeric data fields ($ values)
- Additional text and data field match (6 fields)
- STDOUT, write to file and Exception handling
- Testing, fixes and communication
Inclusions
• Source Python Code
• Testing Results
• Runtime Instructions incl. libraries to install, versions of compiler etc. (Will be run on a mac OS X machine)
• Checking in regular updates to bitbucket
• Fixes for any bugs or errors in the code not able to be tested during handover (30 days of defect fixes)
• Planning and communication, any effort in handover between developers due to swapping in or out
Exclusions
• Operations and maintenance in production
• Production environment setup, management or ongoing maintenance
• General runtime support or python training

Once we shortlist preferred candidates we can issue detailed requirement.
We have estimated development hours will be within the (12-20) hrs range.
You need to have experience using bitbucket.
Work will not be undertaken by junior resources or interns unless they
are interviewed by the client/buyer and signed off as acceptable. (Please provide names and CV of all developers likely to be on the project).
• Work will be undertaken only by developers that are acceptable to us (the client).
• Where the duration or deadlines will not be met, this must be well before the deadline.
• Client must be informed when the budget is likely to be missed,
• Code will be checked in frequently and no more than ever 2-4 hours of work as reasonable.
• When each payment milestone has been achieved, effort expended will be checked against checked in revisions.
• Completion milestones are capped to the maximum effort or charge. Where the effort exceeds the maximum hours, this needs to be explained at the submission point.
• Payment for each milestone will lag one milestone completion behind (first milestone payment on finish of second milestone). Where milestones are less than 8 hours in effort,
they will be paid at the end of the 8 hours of completed + next milestone.
• The rate is inclusive of all taxes, licensing or other fees. Where additional fees are applicable (e.g. purchasing a third-party product or subscription, these will be identified in
advance).
• The minimum agreed hours are not required to be justified and should be considered as the payabler amount
• The hours above the minimum but under the maximum need to be really incurred and reasonable. Acceptance of these hours and the reasons is at the discretion of the client
(buyer) rather than the developer. Where the hours are incurred due to staff that are not properly qualified or have insufficient knowledge of python, this is NOT an acceptable
reason for exceeding the minimum hours.
