Feature reduction using wordnet

I am working on document classification using wordnet for feature dimension reduction. I have news dataset and i have applied BoW and i used wordnet with lexnames and feature size reduced to 481 from 500 but accuracy did not increase. Please come up with your opinion how to increase accuracy by using wordnet (feature reduction)

If you do not have any experience on nlp or wordnet do not give a bid.
