Expert Audit for Fraud Detection Platform
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Fraud Detection Experience Necessary—We’re seeking a highly experienced backend or full-stack developer to perform a full audit, technical validation, and assist with finalization of a nearly complete fraud detection platform. The system includes real-time scoring logic, feedback-driven analysis, and a multi-role admin dashboard — but we need expert evaluation on which features are fully operational, partially complete, stuck or missing.
Full project access will be granted after signing an NDA and IP assignment agreement.
Responsibilities:
• Review and audit the backend codebase (FastAPI + PostgreSQL + Celery/Redis) and frontend (React)
• Document what’s completed, partially implemented, or missing across core features and offer better options, if available
• Validate fraud scoring engine performance, retraining logic, and scoring metadata
• Assess multi-user architecture for scalability, isolation, and access control
• Verify secure handling of PII (e.g., encryption, access controls, tokenization)
• Provide a clear technical summary of what is production-ready vs. what still requires development
• Optionally assist with completing specific remaining tasks (multi-user logic, plugin integration, etc.)
Requirements:
• 5+ years of backend experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and Redis or Celery
• Strong knowledge of secure PII handling (encryption, salting, masking, and storage best practices)
• Deep experience working with fraud detection systems, real-time data scoring, or behavioral analysis logic
• Solid understanding of authentication flows (JWT, RBAC, multi-tenant setups)
• Clear communication and ability to document technical findings
• Must be able to work independently and under NDA/IP agreement
Nice to Have:
• Frontend experience with React and Vite
• Familiarity with modular backend design for AI/ML systems
• Experience optimizing applications for production deployment and scale
