Excel & Python Expert Needed for Data Project
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We’re looking for an Excel and Python enthusiast to join a data-driven project for Simple Deals.
The platform displays various real estate and demographic data points across four region types in the United States: state, metro, county, and zip. When a user selects a region on the map, they can view corresponding data points across different months and years.
Most of the required data is already organized and available in Excel files.
? Your Role:
Develop a Python-based API to extract and serve this data from the Excel files.
Ensure the API is well-structured and scalable, as it will also support future integration with a chatbot assistant.
Format and deliver the data in a way that closely mirrors the structure and design of the map on the reference site.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Strong experience working with Excel files programmatically (e.g., using pandas, openpyxl, or similar libraries).
Solid understanding of API development in Python (preferably using FastAPI or Flask).
Attention to detail — data accuracy and formatting must match the frontend requirements exactly.
If you're passionate about building clean, reliable tools from data and love working with structured files like Excel, we’d love to hear from you.
