Project Description:
I have developed a Python program that performs symbol and text detection on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). The program is functional but requires further improvements to enhance its accuracy, reporting, and analysis capabilities.
Required Improvements:
Confidence Scores for Text Detection: Currently, the program provides confidence scores for symbol detection. This functionality needs to be extended to text detection as well.
Enhanced Performance Metrics: The program generates a confusion matrix for symbol detection during validation. This needs to be expanded to include overall performance metrics such as accuracy and precision.
Tabulated Results: The program should generate separate tables for symbol and text detection results. These tables should include:
Coordinates of detected elements
Confidence scores
Names of detected symbols and text
Project Report: A comprehensive project report is required, detailing the finalized program, its results, and a discussion of the findings. The report should be original and avoid any plagiarism. A first-phase report is available as a reference for the structure and content. No similarity testing should be performed on the project report. It should be written sincerely and reflect genuine analysis and insights.
Skills Required:
Strong Python programming skills
Experience with image processing and computer vision libraries
Knowledge of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) techniques
Ability to implement performance metrics and statistical analysis
Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
